Jimmy Kerr was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. He graduated from the University of Ulster at Magee with an honors degree in Applied Computing and holds a Masters degree in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh. “Ardnaglass on the Air” his first play and was developed by Hamm & Clov Stage Company and given a workshop production in Yonkers and at Teatro IATI in NYC in 2005. To mark its British and Irish premier, “Ardnaglass on the Air” was the official selection of the 'Magners Big Tickle Comedy Festival' at the Derry Playhouse. “Ardnaglass on the Air” returned to New York in 2010 as part of the “1st Irish Festival” and was directed by the award-winning actress/writer Geraldine Hughes. In early 2011 he completed the audio recording “Ardnaglass on the Air” the radio show in New York. His latest play ‘House, strictly private’ was part of the 1st-Irish 2012, 'Next Generation' showcasing new work being developed by Irish playwrights in New York.
